I gave in and bought one....I hate them. They're so huge and ugly and crazy. But they're also really snuggly, and my belly is getting bigger, and so I just went for it, and now I love it. I think Josh is a little jealous though.
We are halfway there, and last week Josh and I went in for our sonogram! I have been so convinced that this little nugget is a boy, so I was completely shocked when our sonographer told us it was a girl. She was really funny and talked us through the whole thing, and at the end, she started typing on the picture. The rundown:
Typing: "A little p-"
In my head: It's a little penis!!
Typing: "A little princ-"
In my head: oh ok! she wouldn't type "penis." It's a little prince!
Typing: "A little princess!"
Me out loud: Huh. Really?
She says she's 100% sure so I guess I have to believe her. We're buying pink things and I want this cute appliqued bedding from Restoration Hardware, but I swear I won't be surprised if this baby comes out and the doctor says, "It's a little penis!" I'll just save my receipts ;)
We went and had dinner with some of our family and friends and had a great time sharing the news! I wanted to be able to tell everyone in person and not drive all over north Texas or do a group text or facebook. We had dinner at Spoons in McKinney and had cupcakes from Bliss Bakery in Allen. I was able to order them ahead of time and we called from the doctor's office and had them fill them with pink frosting. It was so fun seeing everyone's reactions; I think I had convinced everyone else it was a boy too :)
Here's my most recent belly pic to wrap up with. 22 weeks tomorrow :) Rudy is papaya-sized!
